Wood & Douglas has been chosen to supply 1,000 ER45e radio systems to Surf Telecom in a deal worth almost £1 million. A large number of ER45e outstation units and EH45e dual redundant base stations will be installed in power substations across the Midlands. These will create a wireless network to constantly monitor power distribution for Western Power to warn of potential service deterioration and prevent power outages.
