The Solo portable is a compact, lightweight, frequency synthesized portable radio receiver designed to be used with the Symphony base station radio. Unlike a standard PMR device, the Solo radio receiver is a dedicated device designed to provide a high quality audio feed transmitted from the Symphony base station radio to the listening user.
In a broadcast studio, the Solo receiver will be used by Presenters, runners and other staff who need to take commands without the need to respond back to the Symphony base. Such users will be subject to long periods of listening as part of their working day. If fatigue is to be minimised it is essential that the received audio quality is the best possible. The Solo receiver in conjunction with the Symphony base station radio addresses this need.
For users needing to respond back to the Symphony base station radio, the Duo duplex portable beltpack and the Trio transmit portable will be of interest.
The dedication of the Solo receiver to the broadcast environment is enhanced with an exceptionally long battery life and simple and clear functional controls.
The Solo receiver uses the earpiece cable as its antenna. Most earpieces are compatible and the Solo receiver accepts a standard 3.5mm stereo jack. Optionally, a coaxial LEMO connection is available can be specified at time of order.
The Solo receiver is available either as rechargeable or dry cell versions. A 6-way desk charger is available which can take any combination of Solos or the companion Duos and Trios.
Solo receivers are built to order on customer specified frequencies between 400 and 860MHz for either 12.5 or 25kHz channel spacing allocations.
