The Duo portable duplex transceiver is a compact, lightweight, frequency synthesized radio that allows the simultaneous reception and transmission of speech without the need for a 'push to talk' intervention. Duo is designed to operate with the Symphony base station radio.
While Duo has been specifically designed for use in a broadcast studio environment, it will find wider uses where full duplex operation in this manner is essential for operators. Examples of this might be emergency services, security staff and bomb disposal teams.
Not only does the Duo transceiver squeeze a lot of technology into a small size but it also delivers a long battery life and very high quality low fatigue audio to its operator.
The Duo transceiver has an integral transmit antenna and the receive antenna is the headset cable. User controls are simple and a high quality Lemo connector is used for a headset connection.
Duo transceivers are available in either rechargeable or dry cell versions. A 6-way desk charger is available which can take any combination of Solos, Duos and Trios.
Duo transceivers are built to order on customer specified frequencies between 400MHz and 860MHz with versions for either 12.5kHz or 25kHz channel spacing allocations.
