The SXn50 radio transceiver is the flag ship OEM radio transceiver available from Wood & Douglas.  Ultra reliable and very robust and resilient, the SXn50 radio transceivers sell in very very high volumes and are in use across the world in all manner of OEM applications and markets.

The SXn50 radio transceivers satisfy ETS 300 086 and ETS 300 113 requirements and consequently will be in demand in demanding RF applications where EN 300 220 is not thought adequate performance protection.

The SXn50 radio transceivers are available across the VHF and UHF frequency spectrum and all give a 500mW (+27dBm) RF output power.  While designed and intended for transceive applications, dedicated transmit or receive only variants can be provided for volume applications.

New technology developed by Wood & Douglas has resulted in minimum current consumption and a fast transmit/receive switching time comparable to crystal controlled transceivers. The modules are simple to use, have a low operating voltage, are easy to interface and provide flexible methods of channel selection. Frequency selection can be effected locally or remotely with up to 256 programmable channels available over a range of up to 20MHz at UHF and 5 MHz at VHF.
