Orion Radio Data Modem and RTU

The Orion radio modem combines the performance and facilities of a radio data modem with those of a small radio terminal unit (RTU).  Data at speeds of up to 19,200 bps are seamlessly passed over the radio connection together with the status of digital and analogue input and output lines. This powerful combination of modem and RTU dramatically expands the variety of uses the Orion radio modem can applied to.

By creating wireless network structures that deploy the Orion radio modem in conjunction with the Pacscom OpenNet 6000 MaxRTU a powerful outstation / concentrator combination is created.

Capabilities include:-

• High performance narrow band radio link
• 500mW output power (2W optional)
• User friendly GUI setup interface
• Repeater function
• Alarm function
• Pulse counting
• 4 digital input and 4 digital output lines
• 4 analogue input and 4 analogue output lines
• RS232 and RS485/RS422 data ports as standard
• AT command set for integration into customer SCADA applications
• Licence exempt operation at 458MHz (UK) or 868MHz (EU).
• Other VHF/UHF frequencies to order.
• All meet the requirements of EN 300 113 and EN 300 220 class 1.
