The Sentinel digital data radios are part of the ScanLink telemetry radio range.
These radios are designed for data transmission applications within Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems.
The Sentinel range supports both Point-To-Point and Point-To-Multipoint operation. The Sentinel range consists of the following hardware: ER450 – digital outstation; EB450 – digital base station; EH450 – supplicated base station.
Features across the Sentinel range include full duplex operation and rapid transmit and receipt turnaround time.
Remote diagnostics and a comprehensive network management system (NMS) are included in the Sentinel range. The NMS does not require a break in the operational flow of data, enabling operators to remotely manage the network without impacting data collection and transmission.
The Sentinel embedded data transport protocol uses a proprietary encapsulating technique that employs header information called SIDS. This permits host data to be transported and, uniquely, delivered independent of the formal host protocol.
This enables complex networks using concurrent but different protocols to be delivered as a group call as well as routed delivery mechanisms.
For specific details of the individual products, please refer to the data sheets for EB450, EH450 and ER450.
It is our aim to never promise what we cannot deliver.
