G MAX

The G-Max transceiver is a small, low profile rugged UHF OEM radio transceiver module designed to meet the most stringent environmental conditions.

The G-Max is aimed at the discerning OEM that needs a high-quality, reliable direct PCB mounted module to meet the needs of severe operational environments.

Designed to meet MIL standard vibration and shock specifications, the radio will operate over a wide temperature range while maintaining an exceptional RF performance.

The features of the G-Max, include a synthesiser design that has many power saving modes while still allowing fast off/on switching , making it ideal for portable equipment.

The absence of any audio filtering on either the transmit or the receive interface ports allows OEM’s to benefit from the fastest modulation schemes such as GMSK and 4LFSK.

To further assist high speed operation the receive audio is not gated by the squelch giving the fastest possible recovered audio throughput.

The G-Max is designed to meet ETS 300 086 (when a suitable TX audio filter is added) and ETS 300 113 (when used with an external modem). The audio / data interface is DC coupled providing the optimum interface for all modulation schemes.

The main electronics are powered from a 3.3V DC supply to allow optimum use of available power supplies while the transmitter power amplifier achieves improved efficiency running from a separate 6.2 to 8.2V DC supply.
