Excellent results from first full 12 months trading
Wood & Douglas Ltd acquired the assets of Pacscom Ltd in June 2008 and moved the complete Pacscom operation to a 13,000 square foot facility in Romsey, Hampshire from 1st September 2008.
This date also represents the start of the Wood & Douglas Ltd financial year
The Pacscom Trading Division has now been able to contribute a full years trading to the Wood & Douglas sales total and the new location overhead costs have become stable.
The overall result has been a far better performance than was ever anticipated and exceeds expectations. Key to this has been the commitment of the Pacscom team and the ready acceptance of the other two Wood & Douglas sites at Baughurst and Saffron Walden in Essex in welcoming the new faces, skills and resources and working with them.
Alan Wood, Managing Director of Wood & Douglas Ltd commented "There is always a high risk in any merger situation and it is a credit to all concerned that the outcome has been so successful. Apart from early confusion in the original Pacscom client and supplier base, the whole process has been a major logistical, trading and financial success".
